Week 11 Peekings INto the Crystal Ball

After a couple of rough weeks, I stand at 92-55. A crazy year, indeed; but the fog has cleared and I can see into the crystal ball very clearly this week.

Indianapolis @ Tennessee – Both teams were REALLY bad last week. The Colts were obliterated by St. Louis and the Titans lost to the then winless Jaguars. I think Indy collects themselves and goes on the road and wins a tough one. Locker is gone for the year and there’s a reason Fitzpatrick hasn’t taken the starting job away from him. Colts 31 – Titans 20.

NY Jets @ Buffalo – Well, the scrappy Bills keep losing and the Jets keep staying alive. The Jets won a close one in New York earlier this year, and Buffalo is getting Spiller healthy, and Manuel and Lewis are probable. Problem is: WRs Woods will likely not play and Steve Johnson is up in the air. I think the Jets stay in the AFC East hunt. Jets 24 – Bills 21.

Atlanta @ Tampa Bay – Well, Atlanta is tanking and Tampa got off the schnide last week. Roddy White showed up last week and caught 1 pass for 20 yards. The Bucs look better with Glennon but are down to the third string RB. Could the Falcons win again? Falcons 25 – Buccaneers 24.

Detroit at Pittsburgh – Pittsburgh has beaten Baltimore, the Jets and Buffalo. Their losses have been ugly. The Lions offense should overwhelm the aging Steeler defense. Ben will put up points, but that O-line trying to stop Suh, Fairley and company? UGH! Lions 37 – Steelers 27.

Washington @ Philadelphia – Philly appears to have find its QB. Will anyone try to cover Riley Cooper? Washington is so cold and hot, you have no idea what is coming from them. The Eagles are starting to put it together. Eagles 34 – Redskins 28.

Arizona @ Jacksonville – The Jags have notched a victory and can actually catch Houston in the division. Does anybody realize the Cards are very much in the playoff hunt? I do. I love their defense and it should feast on Jacksonville. Cardinals 31 – Jaguars 17.

Oakland @ Houston – Something has got to give with these two. Oakland has lost 5 of 7 and Houston has lost 7 straight. McFadden is hurt again, and Terrell Pryor is looking not so much as the QB of the Raider’s future. Case Keenum is putting up numbers all while the backfield is banged up. Houston is feeling the Jaguars from behind. Texans 33 – Raiders 20.

Baltimore @ Chicago – When Baltimore looks dead, they come alive and when Chicago is supposed to come alive, they look dead. Not sure of Cutler’s status, so McCown is key.  Forte has been much more effective than Rice this year, and Chicago’s WRs are superior. Bears 24 – Ravens 20.

Cleveland @ Cincinnati – Typically, this is a wild one, but with Cincy coming off a loss and Cleveland a bye, this will be a slobberknocker. The Browns know they are alive and can see the chinks in the Bengals. The have the defense, but do they have the offense? Bengals are erratic to say the least. They would love to get hold of this division. Browns won the first one. Bengals 24 – Browns 17.

San Diego @ Miami – After all the talk of Phillip Rivers this year, you would think San Diego was pretty good. They aren’t.  Problem is for Miami; they aren’t either. After supposedly coming together as a team last week amidst all the turmoil, they got beat by winless Tampa Bay.  San Diego will at least keep their playoff hopes alive this week. Charger 27 – Dolphins 19.

Green Bay @ NY Giants – Ok, the Giants are on a roll! Three victories in a row has gotten them to 3-6 and right in the hunt for the East. Green Bay is in a world of hurt with Rodgers and even more without Wallace. Matt Flynn may be brought in, and that is desperation. The Giants are starting to shake of the cobwebs and although very unimpressive, they are winning instead of losing. Giants 24 – Packers 23.

Minnesota @ Seattle – Seattle is 9-1. Adrian Peterson will most likely run on them. After all, AP does that to most teams. Seattle is too good everywhere else and by the way they have RB too called Beastmode. Seahawks 29 – Vikings 16.

San Francisco @ New Orleans – Carolina went to San Fran and beat the Forty Niners. It tells me there are problems with SF. Not that Carolina is bad, but if they can hold the Niners to 9 points, New Orleans doesn’t have to. The Saints will definitely score more than 10. Kaepernick is not the world beater once thought. If you listened to us in the pre-season: WE TOLD YOU. Saints 28 – Forty Niners 20.

Kansas City @ Denver – Wow! Here we go. Oh, wait. Peyton Manning has aggravated his bad ankle. Dwayne Bowe  was arrested. Well, it was setting up to be a classic. I think Manning will play, but now he is really vulnerable to the KC pass rush.  This one is a tough call, but I can’t see KC going undefeated and what better place to lose than Denver? Broncos 31 – Chiefs 24.

New England @ Carolina – Carolina is on an impressive streak, including stifling Frisco out in California. The Patriots shellacked Pittsburgh then took a week off. As much as I like the Panther defense, I still think Brady and company know how to win better. They have been doing it a lot longer than Carolina has. Patriots 27 – Panthers 19.
